Description

IGF-1 LR3 (Insulin-Like Growth Factor-1 Long Arg3) is a synthetic analog of human IGF-1, engineered to enhance its biological activity and stability. This modification involves an arginine substitution at the third position and an additional 13 amino acids at the N-terminus, resulting in a total of 83 amino acids compared to the 70 in native IGF-1. These alterations significantly reduce its affinity for IGF-binding proteins, thereby prolonging its half-life and enhancing its potency. Research has shown that IGF-1 LR3 is approximately three times more potent than IGF-1 and possesses a half-life of about 20–30 hours, compared to IGF-1’s 12–15 hours. ​
